We spent the weekend near Asheville at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center selling a few books, meeting delightful people, and learning cool stuff. I sold a book to a lady named Cinnamon Sky, talked to another lady whose sister was an ER doctor in Barrow, AK (my home for many years), learned about “Earthing” (it’s a thing, we googled it). When I could slip away from our booth, I bought pickled watermelon rind, a bamboo pillow, Wisconsin fudge, and liniment for the goat with arthritis. Plus, had a heated discussion with an older gentleman about why women should not be encouraged to be independent and a fun talk with an older lady who found her “peace and quiet” (The book is Drunk on Peace and Quiet.) for three months and hated it and moved back to town!
Hi, You gave me a bookmark at the conference on Saturday and I just wanted to let you know that I did get the e-copy of the book and stayed up late to finish it. Thanks for sharing the story with me!
How sweet of you to let me know! Glad that you enjoyed it. Your animal photos on FB tickle me – glad we are friends, at least electronically!
