CNN [Chicken News Network] Lindside, WV — 4:00PM: This just in, the report on the body of the dead hen has been finalized and it is a weird one. The bird was seated in the floor under the roost and had poop on her head (pointing to the possibility that she died or was unable to move prior to nightfall). Her legs were tucked up under her in a normal seated position. There was no blood, no noticeable broken bones, and get this, I am trembling as I type: Her skin was purplish blue from belly to beak!!!
