Heading home after a whirlwind book signing tour during Halloween week. Visited Atqasuk first (see separate post) then Barrow’s Tuzzy Library, the Family Fun Night at Ipalook Elementary, and Alaska Commercial.
Seeing former students and colleagues was so much fun! That moment when you see a stranger but something in their adult face is familiar and your eyes meet and you see that person as a kid. Eyes sparkle and hugs trump book sales! I feel so lucky to have been able to renew friendships. Oh, and book sales rocked, both Drunk on Peace and Quiet and Alaska Hoops!
