IMG_3330 IMG_3331CNN [Chicken News Network] July 4: Lindside, WV. On an evening when loud noises and firecrackers are the norm, a Lindside man added to the festivities by screaming and jumping across a field at twilight. Roger Crabtree, 63, intended to gather eggs from a hidden chicken nest in bales of hay in the barn. He reached into the dark for eggs and heard a hiss near his face. He was patting a blacksnake. The two parted ways quickly. The snake could not be reached for comment, but Crabtree noted that it must have been gigantic.
